Ukon Salama, Risti ja Euro – Suomen symbolit menneisyydestä nykyäaikaan.
Eräänä päivänä ajoin autossani yksin ja kuuntelin podcastia Suomen muinaisista uskonnoista. Opin että kauan ennen kristinuskoa meillä oli rikas hengellinen elämä ja kuinka jo silloin arvostimme vanhempia, perhettä, vastavuoroisuutta ja elävää luontosuhdetta. Ja sitten Suomeen tuli ristiretkien aika. Ja kristinusko. Ja nämä uskontomme sekoittuivat. Kun mietin tätä jatkumoa, ymmärsin että meillä on aina ollut jotain joka johtaa meitä. Ja heti sen jälkeen ymmärsin että lista kaipaa päivitystä. Täytyy lisätä yksi symboli ja se on euro.
Mielestäni valitsemme johtajamme joka päivä. Emme aina tee sitä tietoisesti. Luulen että kysymys on, oletko rehellinen itsellesi siitä mikä näistä on todella ratin takana?

Lightning of Ukko, Cross and Euro – The Symbols of Finland through the times.
One day I was driving alone in my car and listening to a podcast about Finland’s ancient religions. I learned that long before Christianity we had a rich spiritual life and how even back then we valued our elders, family, reciprocity, and a living relationship with nature. And then came the time of crusades to Finland. And Christianity. And these religions of ours mixed together. When I thought about this continuum, I understood that we have always had something that leads us. And right after that I understood that the list needs updating. One symbol must be added and that is the euro.
I believe we choose our leaders every day. We don’t always do it consciously. I think the question is, are you honest with yourself about which of these is really behind the wheel?
