Puuttuva palanen – Missing peace

Sama kaava toistuu aina. Sitten kun saan tämän palan palapeliini – sitten olen onnellinen. Ei, et ole. Ainakaan pitkään.

Ihmiseltä aina puolet puuttuu.

I’ve really liked watches a lot for quite some time now. A few years ago I found my dream watch. And I thought I would never need a new watch again if I got this one. Well, what happened? I got a really good feeling, but after a good year I found myself browsing new watches online again.

This made me understand that it’s really hard for people to be satisfied. After a moment of contentment, the hunger always returns, eventually. It doesn’t matter if it’s watches, mountain bikes, cars, or anything else. The same pattern always repeats. Then when I get this piece for my puzzle – then I’ll be happy. No, you won’t. Not for long, anyway.

People are always missing a peace.

  1. Is it missing piece, or missing peace? Either way, there is something missing. Metaphysical masterpiece, well done Lasse!

I heard a TED talk, about 10 years ago from a Dutch man on the topic of hot women. Similarly to you, he told a story of how he always dreamt about this hot woman and thought if he ever has her, he would never want another woman again. Then, again according to your script, he got her. In six months he started looking around again. For me the moral is – satisfaction can be achieved only within you. If you are looking for it to come from the outside, there will always be a missing piece/peace.

I find it great to have the name – “The missing peace” and then “the missing piece” in the subtitle.
